New Smoking In Cars Legislation 

From 5th December 2016 smoking in a vehicle with anyone under the age of 18 will be illegal.

New website for NHS Health Scotland 

NHS Health Scotland has launched its new website www.healthscotland.scot.

The site is designed to provide information and practical support with the aim of benefitting policy and practice to reduce health inequalities and improve health. It should be easy to use and navigate on any device.

Self Directed Support Portal – Focus Group Sessions

NHS Education for Scotland (NES) are currently looking at updating and redesigning our Self-directed Support portal. The portal is funded through Scottish Government’s self-directed support Innovation Fund and is specifically targeted at the health and social care workforce.

Training course -Improving Health: Developing Effective Practice(IHDEP)

Improving Health: Developing Effective Practice (IH:DEP) course is a blended learning course, which aims to enable participants to increase their confidence in improving health and tackling health inequalities, by providing a framework which will guide and encourage the development of effective and reflective practice.

Stroke Training Course/Study Days – 2017

Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland aim to provide a learning environment where members of the Multi-Disciplinary team, from Health and Social Care sectors, may learn from both the content of the course and from one another. These courses are funded in partnership with the NHS and supported by NHS Grampian Managed Clinical Network for Stroke.

RGU School of Nursing & Midwifery Research Seminar Programme This research Seminar takes place Monday 16th January 2017,  4pm -5pm, N204 Sir Ian Wood Building, Garthdee Campus.

Scotland’s Mental Health First Aid Training Course This course takes place on 26th and 27th  January  2017 , 9.30am -4.30pm, The Bothie, Allandale Gardens, Kintore, AB51 0UT.

Improving Health:Developing Effective Practice (IHDEP)- Training Course The training is held over 4 days with induction being Wednesday 25 January 2017 @ 9am-12noon in Seminar Room, Woodend Hospital
Day 1 – Wednesday 22 February 2017 @ 9.30am-4pm in Ythan Room
Day 2 – Wednesday 29 March 2017 @ 9.30am-4pm in Ythan Room
Day 3 – Wednesday 19 April 2017 @ 9.30am-4pm in Deveron Room.

Stroke Training Course/Study Day -2017 These trainings takes place various dates throughout the year 2017 in different locations(Woodend Hospital, Dr Gray’s Hospital and Suttie Centre)
