NHS Grampian Occupational Health Service has been awarded the local contract to provide fit for work support to small and medium sized enterprises across Grampian, as part of the Working Health Services Grampian project.
Working Health Services Grampian is a service that offers free advice and treatment for those people with common workplace health problems such as back pain, problems with muscles and joints, skin problems, breathing difficulties, stress and other mental health problems and health problems caused by accidents at work. The aim of the service is to support people with health issues to stay in, or return to, work.
Working Health Services Grampian is available to anyone who works in small sized business in Grampian (less than 50 employees) and can be accessed by self-referral or referral by your GP or other health professional via a freephone number 0800 019 2211. Advice can be given by telephone or face to face, with each person having a designated case manager.
The service provides access to a range of specialist health professionals free of charge; including physiotherapists, occupational therapists, occupational health nurses, occupational health doctors, counsellors. There are also links to a wide variety of support groups, advice lines, community projects, social work services and local charity groups.
