Examples of inclusion/ inequalities focus - Service Provision

Background Note
Special care was identified by Scottish Government as a major role for the new Public Dental Service. NHS Grampian identified the many challenges involved when offering these patients comprehensive dental services. NHSG had received numerous concerns around equity of service for these vulnerable client groups. In addition much of the existing infrastructure of community clinics, many located in schools, is not fit for purpose due to either disability or decontamination requirements.

The fixed term working group was asked to develop pathways and recommendations for improvements to dental care services and health improvement.
