Improving Health: Developing Effective Practice

'Improving Health:  Developing Effective Practice' is a credit-rated short course, currently running in Grampian with local trainers.
The course was developed and is supported by NHS Health Scotland and is accredited by Robert Gordon's University.

Aims
The aim of this course is to increase your confidence in promoting health, by providing a framework that will help you to reflect on practice and develop effective practice.

What is the course about?
The course deals with 7 main themes:

1) Exploring health and health promotion
2) The policy context for health promotion
3) Promoting health with individuals
4) Promoting health with communities
5) Needs assessment
6) Planning and evaluating an intervention
7) Identifying local resources
