This is an introductory book which discusses a variety of approaches to evaluating health services. It is intended to be of use to a range of professionals including clinicians and managers.
- Evaluation Support Scotland - LEAP (Learning, Evaluation & Planning) for Health LEAP is a framework to aid the planning and evaluation of projects in community health settings, particularly by voluntary organisations. It is part of a more extensive website from Evaluation Support Scotland, which includes a detailed 'Evaluation Pathway' that takes you through the stages involved in evaluation.
- UK Evaluation Society This website provides information about the activities of the UKES with links to training events, online resources, and evaluation journals.
- Scottish Evaluation Network The SEN enables communication across the evaluation community in Scotland, mainly via email. The SEN holds several workshops each year, including the Evaluation Summer School.
- Health Scotland Evaluation on Health Improvement Activity
Health Scotland is co-ordinating the evaluations of national health improvement programmes in order to provide the Scottish Government with regular updates. Their aim with your help is to develop more detailed knowledge about what evaluation work has been done in Scotland over the last 10 years at both national and local level.
As of November 2007 their database holds 300 evaluations on topics such as Early Years, Sexual Health, Teen Transitions, Health and Homelessness, Diet and Mental Health. It will continue to be regularly updated so please check the link below on a regular basis
