It is appreciated that clinicians across NHS Grampian are keen to assess the quality of the care they provide and evaluative activity is already taking place. However, there are colleagues and teams within NHS Grampian who have a particular interest in evaluation who can work with health professionals to offer advice with the development of evaluation plans - they are named within the figure below. These colleagues and teams are also able to access advice from academic colleagues based within Aberdeen University who have an interest in evaluation.

The Public Health and Planning Directorate collaborates with colleagues within and outwith the health service to improve population health. The Directorate has established a Health Care Team to work with clinical, managerial and planning colleagues in planning and developing health services. Input to evaluation is seen as a vital part of this function in order to assess robustly the impact of service change.
The Health Promotion Team within the Public Health and Planning Directorate is concerned with supporting initiatives to encourage our population to adopt a healthier lifestyle. In addition, the Team works with local authorities and other relevant partners to help create healthy local environments and develop community capacities (i.e. community development activities) which are health enhancing. The Team also works to encourage the development of local Public Health policy. The Team is keen to support the evaluation of health promotion initiatives.
