Meetings Quarterly (March, June, September & December).

This group provides the leadership and direction for delivery of the Public Health function across Grampian and contributes the development of PH policy.  The group is a sub-group of OMT, reporting via Lesley Wilkie, Chair.

As agreed at the development session on 5th February 2007, this Group provides a forum for the key players from each of the sectors and the Public Health Directorate to:

  • Secure agreement and commitment to the Grampian wide strategic plan for PH activity;
  • Agree, record and monitor the various contributions towards Grampian targets/objectives;
  • Dedicate time for reflecting on practice and debating priority issues; and
  • Agreeing appropriate action.

Priority matters to be discussed include immunisation, evaluation, work relating to tackling obesity and alcohol.

Items for the agenda may be submitted via the Secretary or the Network Co-ordinator, two weeks prior to each meeting.

Short life working groups are established from time to time to deal with specific cross sector issues e.g. apportioning of HEAT targets.

NOTE: Please note that the role, remit and membership of this group require to be reviewed, following the establishment of the five new corporate strategic themes.

  • Improving the public's health and reducing inequalities;
  • Delivering safe, effective and timely care in the right place;
  • Involving patients, public, staff and partners towards mutuality (including improving the patient's experience);
  • Developing the workforce and empowering staff;
  • Improving efficiency, productivity and sustainability
